Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  I just found out my surgery will be March 26,2007. What should I be doing between now and then to prepare? I am in week 8 of a 10-week class offered by Kaiser and have learned so much. One question? I live alone and the 2 cats are no help at all, will I need someone to be with me after I get home? For how long? I just don't know what to buy as far as food, clear liquids, etc. The post on what to take to the hospital was great. Thank you. I am sooooo nervous.

| Congratulations Colo! The time from now until then, will go fast. BELIEVE ME. I would recommend trying now, to start eating a little healthier, if you are not doing so now. I am sure you are trying your best though. The surgery is a life changing experience. IT'S AWESOME. We are here for you every step of the way. Basically, and most importantly, do what your surgeon says. VERY IMPORTANT. Come in here as often as you need to. All of us here understand what you are going through. Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am so happy for you guys. I am still waiting on my scheduled date. Just heard from Dr. that I need a doppler done on my legs so waiting on a call to see when I can do that. All of you seem so happy that you had this done. I hope all of us still waiting will be as happy as you guys after our surgery. I am soooo miserable now.
