I can't believe my surgery is this Thursday! My Pre-Op appointment was great, the surgeon calmed most of my fears, and my mom's fears. My husband couldn't make it so I had my mom come with me to ask any questions I forgot. I'm so excited/nervous.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Lucky duck! I think you will do great. I know it is scary but think of this journey you on and where you are at in your life. You have been given this wonderful opportunity to change your life. And change it you shall. And it all starts in a matter of just a few short days. I can say it has been a roller coaster of emotions for me but I am ready for it now. And I mean NOW! But this wasn't created overnight. And it won't be solved overnight.

I'm sooooo excited for you Shannon! Its funny that we had our final consults on the same day! I wish I was going on Thursday too since I'm tired of the suspense! Did they tell you when exactly your up? I'm hoping for the first slot of the day but the surgeon couldn't tell me a time. I have to be there at 5:00 in the morning and maybe not even have surgery until the afternoon! If that happens I'll probably be bouncing off the walls! lol. I will pray that you have an uneventful surgery and the start to a speedy recovery. Hugs

I'm amazed that they don't schedule you for a time! I'm my surgeon's first one of the day. I get there at 6:30 and surgery is scheduled for about 8:30. I had my gallbladder out at the same hospital last September and they're pretty good about keeping to their surgery times. They implemented a new monitoring system where every patient is assigned a number and the number shows on up a screen in the waiting area so whoever is waiting can see exactly where you are at a given time. I also had both my boys a the same hospital and both experiences were great, so at least I know I will be in good hands with the nursing staff

You're just a few days after me

It's been a long journey to get here, so I"m just so excited! Now I just have to figure out how to concentrate at work the next two days!
