Default Passing the time...

Okay, tomorrows the big day and I'm trying to not let the nerves take over, but so far they are out in front! I'm going to try and keep busy today cleaning, packing and maybe mowing. I've made it to day 10 of the clear liquid diet without cheating so I'm thinking maybe I can do this. I'm glad I won't be sitting on the pot all night after drinking that awful 'go-litely' that some have to do the night before. I'd prefer the 10 day diet any day! (whoever name that stuff had a screw loose!)
Tonight I'll probably not sleep a wink but I have to get up at 3:30 am anyways. I have the nausea patch to put on and my sleep meds to take at bedtime so maybe I'll get a little sleep in.
Thanks once again for your prayers and support. I will try and keep you posted and if I have a long wait time before surgery I may be online tomorrow. Hugs

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

It's SO close!! What time is your surgery scheduled?
Gosh I remember the night before my surgery so well, I was a ball of nerves too! Oh and I had to do the yucky "cleansing prep" the evening before AND the 10 day liquid diet!! Can't wait to hear how it all goes once you are feeling up to it. You know we will be thinking of you and wishing you an uneventful surgery!!!

(((hugs)))

Nell, I don't have a time until I get there at 5:00 in the morning. Go figure. If it's not until later in the day and my anxiety starts to get worse I'm going to tell them and have them take me back for some good old fashion sedation!
Boy you really got hit with a double whammy! You had to do both the 10 day AND the colon cleanse? How awful!

Go LITELY???? That ain't the stuff we had to use!! You'd think after a 14-day liquid prep there'd be nothing left to clean out. (You'd be dead wrong, too!!) Peanut and I both had to go through the same magnesium citrate prep the night before our RNYs. Think of Old Faithful - inverted - and you've got a pretty good idea of what it was like. Talk about a draining experience!!

I got up at 3:30 the morning of mine, too, for a 5:30 reporting time and 7:30 OR time. Being the first one in line means they can't be backed up too far when it's your turn!

Your medical team will be far calmer than you are, mainly because they understand the whole thing better than you do. Don't panic until you hear the doctor say "Oooopppss!!" Just ask them to slip a bit of happy juice in your IV and you'll be just fine!! They've seen it all and they understand that if you're asking, you need it!

Have a great day tomorrow!! We'll leave the light on for you!

Gotta love the sodium citrate or whatever. Right now I am affectionately calling it "Bombs Away". Just hope I get out of the bathroom long enough to get to the hospital without having to make a pitstop!! I am grumpy because I was told there usually was no bowel prep. And on top of that, I went out and bought new panties, only to find out that the nurse will confiscate them first thing in the morning!! What a bummer. Good luck Judi!!!!!!!!!
