Question I have a question ?

Hi I'm back and I need help. Went to my appt. Wensday to get Pre-Op Clearance from Cardiolgist he is sending me to get a Stress Test. What is a stress test and what do I have to do during this test ? The reason I am asking is if it has to do with a treadmill or a exercise bike I am going to FAIL due to my busted up knee I got in a automobile accident. I am starting to get nervous....Thanks for hearing me out.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

There are two ways to do a stress test. One is on a treadmill, but with a bad knee you wouldn't be put through that one. The other involves chemically stressing your heart through an IV. You lie there and they inject something that'll make you feel like you just swam the English Channel with sharks chasing you and that gives them the results they need.

This is a common procedure with the risks well-defined and understood. It won't be a lot of fun, but when you have your surgery, it will have been worth it.

I literally just laughed out loud! That is the best way to put that feeling!

But seriously, don't stress about the stress test, it is really simple. Even with my busted up knees, I was able to do the treadmill one. I just told them in the beginning about my knees and then told them when it was too much for my knee.

Pre surgery I had a bad back, bad knees and bad ankles, so running a treadmill was out of the question. I had the IV type of stress test and like the others have said, it felt weird, but was really no big deal. By the way, post surgery, I have none of those problems and can now run on a treadmill
