Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | just wanted to let everyone know i did not have surgery on the 24th like planned. my dr. was a ass. i went to hospital and was supposed to go into surgery at 7:30. well dr. came in and he said he was doin my surgery last of the day cause he does his lapbands first. he acted like a ass, so my hubby spoke up and said if we had known we would have stayed home till later in the day. well he got mad at my hubby and said he wasnt doing my surgery that if he did it would only add more stress to him. so hes not doing it at all. all the crap i went through to get it done and my day was shot to hell. but now i am so happy because he was a jerk of a dr. to people. dr. george woodman/memphis. please dont anyone ever go to him. he dont care about his patients. anyway im over his bad bedside manor and am going to go to dr. weaver. they say shes nice. well just wanted all you to know who had supported me to get through that day to know. take care and hollow at yall soon. this dr. is in bad need of help. i hope he gets it soon before he operates on anyone. also i wrote to the hospital director to let thm know how he trated me . |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I have been wondering were you was and how you were doing. Im sorry to hear this honey. You know blessings come in disguise. Wow on the Drs attitude. I dont blame your hubby for saying what he did. I know here at our local hostpitals you have to arrive 2 hours before your surgery. That is stressful enough without having to wait on all the others that day. Its sounds like to me it was a office issue on the arrival time to begin with. For some reason it wasnt meant to have that surgery on that day. Im guessing here that your hubby caught plain hell from you about it at first. LOL. But now your gonna be with a much nicer fella. Im sure it wont be so bad to get it going thru again. You have every thing you need im sure and all your doing is just changing the Dr. Good Luck with this. Im almost there to get my date. Take care |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am sorry that happened. BUT honestly if he is a total jerk the surgeon i think its best this happened and you find someone with alot of care and a good bedside manner. ITS a hard surgery and you need the surgeon to make you feel like his only patient and that your NUMBER 1~ all my best as your line up a new surgeon and i know even though he was a jerk im sure this was upsetting! (((HUG)))

Weight Loss Method Physician Prescribed Diet/Exercise | Dear Lenna; That sounds like a terrible, rude and harsh experience you had!!! There is NO excuse for a Doctor to behave so UNPROFESSIONALLY!!! However, thank god (the powers that be, Buddha, Goddess, etc) you aren't STUCK with this JERK for the next god-knows-how-long. You'd be trying to manage around HIS personality issues, when actually you need a Doc who will BE THERE for you in a KIND, RESPECTFUL manner during the period you will be dependant on him/her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I one time actually SCREWED UP so I was UNABLE to have a surgery--by taking an Aleve (which is a blood thinner) the day before. The surgeon never ONCE acted like he was upset about "the waste of his time" and in fact acted VERY sympathetic to ME (as it was a pain reduction surgery on my spine)!!! That is how a Doctor should act. I hope your next Doc is just a gem and you have an AWESOME experience! XOXO Mya ![]() |

| Super Moderator | Lenna, ((((((HUGS))))))) Too bad about your experience, and there is no excuse to treat patients disrespectfully, no matter how bad the dr's day may be. (I had a bad day at work yesterday, it was all due to bad communications from top down on the change of schedules, I really let my steam off on the director of the medical center, but turned around and put on my brightest smile for the next patient, and made very sure that my voice was soft and manners gentle. I have no excuse in treating my patients badly even if my day's schedule was in a complete chaos.) As everyone says, look on the bright side of things, though your surgery was postponed, you will not be stuck the rest of your life with a surgeon with bad manners, you will be able to change over to someone whom you can trust, and you also know now what to look for in a surgeon. Good luck in getting your date soon!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | JUST a bit of advise IF you put a bad write up on OBESITY help board it will get taken down ...any surgeon that supports that board has bad posts taken down about them ....so i would advise you dont do that. JUST my view I have seen it happen. THAT board is mostly run thru the surgeons behind the scenes support of financial mattersand therefore bad information on a surgeon that is active on the board will have a thread of that kind taken down. THATS whats great here we are not run by the surgeons so we can share bad experiences and not worry that the surgeons will have posts taken down. JUST something I have seen MORE then once on that board. AGAIN my personal view here only. UNFORTUNATELY, many surgeons read that board and if seen will insist the post be taken down. NOT fair but has happened!!!
