| Update Not Good...Setback Hi guy's just got back from getting my Stress Test results and they are not good. The Cardiogist said that it was negative/positive which means that either I have a block left artery or the test was not clear due to obese or large breast. So now I have an appt. for Sept.12 for a Cardiac Catheterization if normal then good. If I have a narrow artery it will be taken care of at the same time.My setback is now another month intil Oct.5 when I get the results back and get clearance for surgery.Oct.18 will be 1 year I started this Journey and I feel it has been a long one.As they say good things come to those who wait Thanks for letting me vent.

| I'm sorry for your setback and I'll be praying that the catheterization comes back normal. It must be very frustrating but if there is something that needs to be dealt with it's for your safety. Patience is definitely a requirement to get through this whole process and some of us unfortunately have to have it longer than others! Take care and let us know how it goes. Hugs |

Wishing you the best and if it is a narrowing, glad they found it now instead of having an issue during surgery.

I had to have a cath before surgery and it was all clear! I am hoping for the same for you. I'm sure it will all be well...

Aw (((HUGS))) A few people have had to go the route you are going through now.
All the more better to make sure your body is ready and fare well during and after your surgery.
I'm sure you'll be fine in the end, and that is what matters most.

My stress test lead me to a cardiac catherization and it was discovered that I had a 99% blockage in my LAD which is the worst artery to have blocked. If it were not for the stress test required by WLS, my cardiologist says that I most likely would have died. This ended up in a 6 month delay for my WLS and at the time, I was very upset about the delay. But now, it seems so insignificant in terms of my overall health. I sincerely hope that you don't have to go through what I went through, but if you do have a narrowing or a blockage, you'll be glad that it was discovered even if it means a delay and I'm now almost 2 years out of surgery and I barely remember the delay. If you're like me, you've been waiting for this surgery for so long that even a week delay feels torturous, but the truth is, in hindsight it's a blip of time compared to how long I was obese for. Good luck with your cath, let's hope it's nothing

I'm with everyone else, I am glad it is discovered now and not later..get your heart as healthy as possible before you undergo the stress of the surgery and your more likely to have a successful surgery/recovery. Best of luck and I pray everything goes well!!

My feeling also, glad they found it when they did, thats why we are tested so much to make sure we will survive the surgery. Pray everything goes well with the cath and soon you will be posting your date, love and HUGS.
