One of the things I discovered after my surgery is that when I went on Atkins before I thought I was doing pretty good just eating a lot of meat, but what I know now is that the meat I chose was still way too high in fat and that's why it didn't work well for me. Instead of doing pure Atkins, I would suggest you try making some of the meals in our recipe forum, or trying to eat the foods we eat - just in larger quantites until you get the surgery.
