My first appointment with the surgeon was more than I could have dreamed of!!! Not only is he top in his field here, but he's also a sleeve patient himself (sounds like a commercial hu lol) I told him I was afraid to step on the scale because I've been pigging out, knowing that my days of over eating were coming to an end. His answer was "75% of preops do that, join the club." i laughed. I was scheduled for a one hour appointment, we chatted for an hour-and- a-half. I was very worried about the outpatient part of having surgery but he put my mind at ease there. I left there with the assignment of having a sleep study done, having a blood workup done and a cardiac stress test. I also get the joy of having an endoscopy done....thank God they knock you out for it. If I were 6 months older they'd want a colonoscopy also....skated that one lol. I finally stood in front of a camera today and had the hubby take the same pic they did so I could see what it looked like. I look hideous. Years ago I had this great little petite figure and now my stomach is bigger than my chest, BUT...that is all going to change now.
