I have surgery tomorrow morning and as of yesterday I woke up with a cold

Spoke to the oncall nurse this weekend and she says that as long as I am not in respiratory distress or feverish, they can still perform it. Or, I have the option to reschedule.

I flew my mother and close family in to help out with my toddler and to be here for moral support. I NEED to get this over with.

Of course, I am feeling so anxious and stressed out. Very worried. Please, if you read this before I get to the hospital, send me your good thought and/or prayers.

I will post as soon as I can, an update.

hello, i just wanted to share...i had my surgery in december like almost 3 weeks ago i like you had to fly my mother in for support and could not reschedule. i like you also had a cold and sinus issues before surgery, not to mention my menses cycle, i still went forward with it and yes the cold played a role in how i felt i was miserable the first day because i was congested and couldnt breathe due to the mucus from my cold and the mucus from the tube they placed down my throat. it was hard for me to cough up the stuff so i had a rough first night. i had a very nice nurse who took good care of me especially with my cycle issue. she was fantastic in getting me cleaned and taken care of there....and i also asked for nasal spray and they did order saline for my nose i was much better by day 2 and with using the spirometer, the thing you have to blow into for the lungs really did help with the mucus....i say go for it, stay prayed up and go in knowing you will be fine and trust me you will be fine!!! hopefully you wont have the sinus issues that i had. after all, you are in the best place for any type of treatment. i wish you well and good luck tomorrow
