Default Sick from tests

Hi everyone

I have had 3 cat scans this past week 2 of them had that radioactive iodine, and 2 of them had barium.
Since my last test, an upper g.i which was done on Thursday, I have been sick to my stomach. Is this normal? I never had this reaction before. I have been drinking lots of water since the test, and am having regular bowell movements, although they are mostly white ( sorry, kinda graphic ), so I know im not constapated. So what is the problem???

Any ideas?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

(((((HUGS))))))
Iodine reaction occurs almost immediately, so I wouldn't say that' the cause.
Some people do have problems with barium. Call your surgeon or the dr who ordered the test (it may be a holiday weekend, but there should be someone who's on call) and ask. Even if you are passing white stuff, since you have bypassed instestines, there may be some stuck in your pouch, as usually, most of the stuff should have passed in a couple of days.

Hey. When my stools were white is right before my gall bladder came out. Do you have gb problems as well? Hope your feeling well.
BTW, I'm an upstate NY transplant and have some good friends from your area. Good luck!

Bingoklee,

I know that here in the states the barruim is probally what is doing it. The barrium that you were given turns white as it passes. I would do like DOC suggested and call your Dr. Your doing the right thing with the water. If you like milk try that to help calm down your stomach some. I dont like doing anything with the barrium in it either because of the same things. Actually your very (lucky) ? that your not constipated from it. That is the major complaint with the Barruim. Usually the Iodine..would cause a reaction like itching. So..... call ya Dr and ask. Until then I hope your doing much better and try some milk.
