Default why bother

I have been having this weight problem for years. I had an open roux ny done in 2002, it failed! I have gained almost 100 pounds since then.
I have been working on having another procedure, but I have heard nothing from the doctor, and yes I have called him, I'm just told that no desision has been made yet.
In the mean time, I cant work, cant breath, cant walk, cant wipe my own ass, i sweat when i take a shower, and its just getting worse. I just spent $120 that I really didnt have to get a recumbent exercise bike. I cant even go 2 minutes on it.
Im at the point now where I just want to say f@#k it!
I may as well just finish eating myself to death

why bother fighting, when there is no way to win.

Im already dead

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Awwwww, ((((((((HUGS))))))))
Don't give up!!!
You deserve to be healthy and have a good life.
Things may take time, you may get discouraged, but patience, perseverance and fortitude is the best way to get the best of things.
Please don't take it out on food, you'll feel all the more sad and bad about yourself for it.
Give yourself a break, you've worked so hard on this.
Maybe you can't go 2 minutes on the bike, then go for 1 minute, multiple times a day. Start slowly. Do it every day. Pretty soon, you'll find you can do more than a minute. Then 5. Then 10. You know, even if you wanted it yesterday, you won't get it tomorrow, you have to work one day at a time.
You've found yourself a great surgeon. Believe, trust that you'll get the best thing at the best time, and work well for it.
I'm keeping you in my prayers.

How frustrating for you. The fact that you are sharing with us tells me that you still want to make it work. While you are waiting..maybe try the carb detox that Fr1endly2 and a bunch of us are trying. It certainly is worth a try. You say you can't even go for 2 mins on your bike? Well, good for you for getting on it and at least trying.. see if you can go for 1 min and then in a few days try a minute and a half. Keeo a journal of the times you do every time you are on it and try to increase by 10 seconds. If you choose to try the carb detox, keep an accurate record of what you eat on it and if you even lose 1/2 lb. after a couple of weeks I would either fax, write of call your doctor and leave this information to show them that you are committed to your own success and are really, truly attempting success. You are a good looking man and so worthy of success...please don't give up!

One day at a time. You've come further than most actually get by actually getting the first surgery. Dont quit now. Like doc said one minute multiple times a day will help you build up your ability. As for the dr. first thing monday morning, call. and if you dont get an answer call again. stay ontop of them. this is YOUR life not theirs and if they get annoyed enough they will answer the question. Please dont give up.

Hi Keith. It wasn't long ago that I felt a lot like it sounds your feeling. I ended up at 365 after years of bouncing between 290 & 325. How those last 35lbs got there was due mostly to the fact that I stopped any sort of exercise including being part of a "reorganization" work-wise where my postion was eliminated. 5 mos. later I had gained 35lbs.
The fact that your still trying, you now have a decent surgeon, and your
kicking makes it all good, even though it seems crummy now. Hang on and in because there is help for you, just as there was help for all of us who had a successful procedure.
I ended up going into Chicago for my RNY. I live 3 hrs from there but I looked for the best guy closest to me. Some of the girls here on line had their surgery done in the city. Friendly and Littlelisa. You could give then a shout. Maybe they know your guy. Make it count this time! You deserve it.
BTW, I grew up 1 hr. north of Utica and have been to and through Binghampton, Endwell, Endicott and have friends there. Howdy.

Thanks everyone, I might be feeling a lil bit better, but I donno. I just want to be able to do the simple things... walk, wipe, work, breath. Am I asking to much?
I forced myself to go back to the bike, and really pushed, and got 5 minutes in. My pulse was at 112, I hope I didnt go to far.

I'm just so tired, of being so tired. And I'm scared that I may not live to the surgery

I just don't know what to do.

(((HUG)))))
I can only imagine how your feeling right now.
I have recently read how only 10 percent keep the
weight off after gastric bypass surgery.
AND it has me scared to death that ill not
be in that 10 percent. IT does happen
and your proof that it does.
PERHAPS you can get some councling by a weight
managment councilor. I had taken some sessions last
year. THIS surgery is a tool and sometimes we have to figure
out and learn how to handle all the things that tend to make us eat.
PERHAPS with councling you can get back on track with the eating and
use that tool better. I know for me im carb detoxing myself cause I know im a carb addict and if i eat to many i loose control.

I think doc gave awesome advise to do even 1 mintue on the bike
few times a day and slowly build up the endurance and before u know
u will be able to do 5 min ...10 min etc.!

GOOD LUCK! keep us posted and we do care!!! PERHAPS if you start posting and journaling ur eating u will find the mishaps and help u get back to the basics!!!
KEEP in touch and i look forward to getting to know you more thru your posts.
