Weight Loss Method Duodenal Switch | I am 6 days away from my surgery, and I have this problem. I am wondering if anyone else has gone through this. I have been awake since 9am on Monday, it is now 5:45pm on Tuesday. I CANT SLEEP I am exhausted, yet when ever I lay down, I just toss and turn, no sleep at all. I even went and got a prescription of Xanax from my doctor, and I still cant sleep, pardon me, but WTF is going on? I NEED SLEEP ![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | You are nervous! It's normal. I didnt sleep or eat for 2 days before my surgery for the same reason. Relax. Please relax. You need your rest. Eventually your body will force you to sleep but you want to get rest in time for your surgery. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It does sound like you are alittle anxious. This has happed so fast for you I know it must be hard for you to get your head around what is going on. When I can't sleep, I do deep breathing, and do relaxation of the different parts of my body. I know it sounds stupid, but it does work. I hope something works for you and that you can get some sleep.

| It kinda sounds to me that you have alot on your mind leaving you filled with anxiety. That is perfectly understandable. You are about to have a life changing surgery. They told me the night before my surgery to get a good night's sleep. Yah, right. I did not sleep one wink. HONEST! With your sleep, I bet money that everything will level off after you have your surgery. Welcome to the boards bing. Glad to see another gent on here. Quite a few hens, and not enough roosters. I love them all though. They are all super gals. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Try to relax, its normal when your about to do something that is going to change the way you live the rest of your life. Sleep will happen when your body can't go anymore. But I think most of us that have had the surgery have been there with you!! |

| Super Moderator | Awww, (((((HUGS)))))) I sure hope you were able to sleep last night, as it should be Wednesday morning for you now. It's just your mind in overdrive, everything will be fine, and things will settle when it needs to.
