Default Liquid Diet

Surgery is scheduled for 8/13 and my liquid diet begins 7/30. As time fast approaches, what type of protein drinks and how many did you drink daily? What did your protein diet consist of. How much weight did you lose during your liquid diet? Mine is suppose to be for 2 weeks. Do you nearly starve to death on this?
Thanks

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I would think your Dr. would give you something with everything listed on it that you can have. I had to do a "clear liquid" diet, so I didn't have protein until after surgery. I would call them and see if they have a print out or something. And yes, you may feel hungry...but keep reaching for the pot of gold!!!!! Good luck! I lost about 14 pounds and was on the diet for 10 days before.

I would think your doctor would give you guidelines on how he wants your liquid diet done.
EVERY surgeon does things different.
I didnt do a liquid diet but had to drop 25 lbs pre op
OTHERs go on medifast....
its so different so i suggest call the office
and get guidelines on how they want you to do
your liquid diet!
hugs

Sorry I cant help with the question. I was only on a clear liquid diet the day before surgery. But I I know alot of the other guys and gals on here will be able to help you out.
I did do some protein shakes things after surgery for a while. I used Slim Fast carb control or low carb, something like that. i also used Carnation Instant breakfast pre done shakes and they were the ones the doctor reccommended. No sugar added.
Everyones surgeon is different. This is what my suggested but I ve read alot on these posts and there are tons of stuff out there.
Best of luck with your sugery and welcome to the boards.

I had to do the 2 week pre-op fast, I drank slimfast low carb shakes, Atkins shakes, broths, jello, and all sf posicles I wanted. I dropped about 15 pounds.

Good Luck
