Next Tuesday is 'D' day for me. I have my pre-op appointment on Thursday and hubby is taking the day off to go with me. My surgery is going to be in a town two hours away and that is a bit inconvenient but I found the person that I think is the best bariatric surgeon in my area. I am much more confident in him than I would have been in settling for someone else. It only makes things a bit inconvenient as far as the drive and I will be taking a copy of all my records to my PCP afterward in case there are any problems. Of course, I am hoping there won't be.
So, the liquid diet is going okay. I have eaten a soda cracker here and there and a bite of grilled chicken breast and a couple of things like that but I can't see how that will make any difference. I am daily floating away from all the water I drink and have taken all the vitamins I will be taking after surgery for over a week now. I think I am as prepared as I am going to get. I hate this liquid thing now because I can still eat if I choose to. After surgery, it won't be so bad because by all accounts, I am not going to want to eat for awhile anyway. So, I am hanging in there trying to do as the doctor ordered.

How exciting for you...it seems like just yesterday I was in your shoes, and now 9 months later I am at goal and looking forward to TT/BL/BA!!!
And yes, don't worry about one more little detail, it sounds like you are well prepared. You will not want to eat or drink afterwards, just force yourself to sip, sip, sip to stay hydrated and you will be fine.
