 |  just one more week Next Tuesday is 'D' day for me. I have my pre-op appointment on Thursday and hubby is taking the day off to go with me. My surgery is going to be in a town two hours away and that is a bit inconvenient but I found the person that I think is the best bariatric surgeon in my area. I am much more confident in him than I would have been in settling for someone else. It only makes things a bit inconvenient as far as the drive and I will be taking a copy of all my records to my PCP afterward in case there are any problems. Of course, I am hoping there won't be. So, the liquid diet is going okay. I have eaten a soda cracker here and there and a bite of grilled chicken breast and a couple of things like that but I can't see how that will make any difference. I am daily floating away from all the water I drink and have taken all the vitamins I will be taking after surgery for over a week now. I think I am as prepared as I am going to get. I hate this liquid thing now because I can still eat if I choose to. After surgery, it won't be so bad because by all accounts, I am not going to want to eat for awhile anyway. So, I am hanging in there trying to do as the doctor ordered. |
