| How do you feel when you come home from lap rny?
I am already ready to come home from the hospital and I ain't even been there yet. How did ya'll feel when you come home. I've had two c-sections and it was really hard the first week after I came home. Everyone I talk to says that laproscopic is a walk in the park compared to a c-section. Just curious how ya'll felt. Was anyone bed ridden or not able to take care of their self after you come home? I am a single mom with two little girls so I would like to get an idea of what to expect. My parents live close by and will be helping me.

well, first off let me say we all take pain differently. BUT i had a c-section and it was A MILLION TIMES WORSE than this. FOR ME. i didnt have much pain at all with this. i was more afraid of moving the wrong way and causing pain than actual pain itself. I have a 5 year old. I'm a single mom too. And I had my daughter AWAY for the first week and after that I cared for her just fine. Just remember no lifting. You're going to do fine. You're in my thoughts and prayers!!!

LOL Mine was just the opposite, my c-sections were a walk in the park compared to this. My daughter came and stayed with me the first week after my surgery, I came home the day after my surgery. I really don't remmeber to much about the first couple of days home, my daughter kept me on pain meds. I was really lucky in that my parents came and stayed the next week, and then my daughter came back for the third week. I have two really big labs and needed help seeing to them. I can't walk them for another week according to my surgeon.
Like Kenya said, we all handle pain differently.

Everyone is different, every surgery is different so its hard to tell. I have had many surgeries including 4 c sections lol........All of my surgeries I was up and about pretty much right away. Hopefully if everything goes textbook you will be up and about very quickly. The difference i found with this surgery is as the time went by and my body was in the starvation mode I lacked energy. But i promise when the energy comes back it comes back full force lol. I cant sit still anymore.
Just try to relax, very important to not compare your journey to others as each one is individual. Your going to do great!

I too had a pretty good surgery, it was just that tight/pulling feeling in the ab area...which is why they have you up and walking within a few hours after recovery! I am still sore after a week out, but do not require any kind of pain meds. My big problem is the itching since the staples were removed yesterday! ARGHHHH!

Hmmmmm, Everyone Has A Different Experience So There Is No Black And White Answer. For Me It Was Very Hard. First Off Instead Of 3 Days In The Hospital I Ended Up In The Hospital For 10 Days.
I Also Thought My C-section Was More Of A Breeze Compared To This!!! I Was Hurting A Bit, Uncomfortable Because I Still Had The Drain Inside Me And I Had Nooooooooooooooo Energy At All!!!! Very Tired. I Only Started Taking Care Of My Daugter Full Time This Week. But Even Now I Have To Ask Dh To Step In. You Get Very Tired The First Few Months.
I Hope You Have An Uneventful Smooth Surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck

I found that my father goose (husband doesn't like to be called a Mother Hen) is worth more than gold!! I actually had to force him out the door last night as it was his first day back to work since the surgery! And he must have called 5 times wondering if he had done the right thing by leaving me. LOLOL.
