Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass   |  I did it, I did it I have got my referral from my Doctor, and I have chosen a surgeon. Lucky for me he can see me in 3 weeks time for my pre op consultation, and meeting with the pyschologist and nutricionist. As I do not have medical insurance and I do not qualify for govt assistance for this surgery it will cost me about $20000 all up. (NZ dollars) Although my surgeon is trying to push for more funding for these ops. Funding for obesity surgery urged - Readers Reporter - Waikato Times I am so excited. I can wait to see him and get this ball rolling.
