my surgery is booked for December 4. My doctor has not informed me that I have to do any fasting before hand. Is this normal?

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
Every surgeon has a different regime...but most have you at least do some sort of liquid diet right before your surgery.... Its to shrink the size of your liver...thus causing more space to move the trocars around and safely perform your bypass.

Thank you.... And of course, there is usually someone on the board during the day...and if it's not me....someone else will step in to help! We all feel very passionately about this journey.....and although not all personalities mesh....we all feel the same about helping in anyway we can!
YOU WILL have an amazing transformation as well....you will be amazed. I know that I have been....with my own. I went thru a stage where I could barely believe it was "ME"....but now looking back, it's sooo hard to realize the pre-op was me. Just realize - although you are going to do an amazing transformation on the outside - you are the same woman....

I didn't have to do the liquid diet except the day before my surgery. I drank water until almost midnight - I wanted them to get my IV on the 1st stick lol. You are getting closer to the losers bench every day

Hi there. My surgeon let me eat and drink normal up until midnight the day before. If in question just call the office and ask. Im glad you have a surgery buddy. It helps along the way.
