Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

The wings will be calling your name AFTER the surgery...so unless you're ready to let the wings fly away for the rest of your life, you may not be ready for surgery, in my opinion.

Most insurance companies want to see at least 6 solid months of hardcore documentation of weight loss attempts with the help of a physician/dietician.

This is another one of those things that you have so many different answers on. Everyone has such different requirements. Mine insurance wanted proof of at least 5 years of weight loss attempts I guess you would say. They needed to see it all. Receipts and doctors notes proving that I did weight watchers and LA Weight loss and etc......From what I have heard on here there are so many different variations.
I didnt have to loose any weight before sugery to be approved however they kept checking my weight and I was not allowed to gain any weight ahead of surgery. Hope this helps some.

In my most recent submission for insurance I also included the instruction booklet & receipt for the treadmill and gazelle I bought, as well as copies of receipts from buying Meridia for three months, completely out of pocket. It just shows I've invested so much financially to trying to lose weight as well...now THEY need to start investing money

Yeah, I didn't have that insurance either. I had SUCH an easy time with all of my paperwork.

But the wings? I've eaten wings since surgery. Chicken is pretty high in protein. You just have to be careful about them being "fried" of course, and what you put on them. See Poopoo...you can still have them :-) Hot sauce agrees with me!!
