Went For My Egd Yesterday All I Remember Is That One Minute They Were Having Difficultie Getting The Iv In And The Next I Was Being Wheeled Of To The Little Room Given Something In The Iv And I Was Being Woke Up . Wow That Was Simply Enough I Slept On And Off All Day And My Mother Told Me That The Dr. Wants Me To Make An Appointment To See Him Asap Because He Doesn't Understand Why The Lining Of My Stomach Is So Raw
This IS Really Starting To Worry Me Because I Don't Understand Why My Stomach Is So Raw And What Can This Mean . I Know My Mother Started To Cry And Said She Hopes I Don't Have Stomach Cancer I Don't Know If The Doctor Told Her Something That She Isn't Telling Me . So First Thing MondaY I Will Call For Appointment Even Though I Already Have An Appointmnet For January 7th . Just To Confirm That I'll See Him Then And He Also Told My Mother To Have Me Take One Prilosec Daily For Now Has Anyone Else Experienced This Will This Delay My Surgery Or How Serious Is This
I Also Wondered If Anyone Else With Cpap Machine Experienced Waking Up Several Times During Night I've Only Been Using For A Week Now

You may have what is known as erosive gastritis. It's a benign condition, but sometimes a condition that easily causes stomach ulcers.
Did your dr check for a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori (H.Pylori) during your exam? It's a bacteria that's known to cause ulcers and erosions, so if you test postive for that, you will need to take a course of antibiotics for a week or so, and that should take care of it.
In any case, rather than being upset and imagining all sorts of things, just get an appt with your dr and find out what's up, then move on to what needs to be done.

As for your CPAP, it may be that it isn't adjusted right for you, so you'll need to ask whoever provided you with your CPAP.

my stomach was also irritated, i had hpylori and according to my surgeon so does like 1/2 of the world and most dont know it, like doc said i was put on an antibiotic for 2 weeks then i had to wait 4 weeks for the test (you blow in these bags) to make sure it was gone before i could have my surgery. good luck i hope everything turns out ok for you

As far as the tummy goes.... mine decided not to wake back up. Im on meds now for it to help. It seems to have helped. You have to think of your stomach as not healed yet by no means. You know the scars on your tummy how red and well ugly they are? Well your tummy would have to be the same way but you cant see it.

As far as the Cpap goes they had to adjust mine three times. Let me explain. When I had mine done they got me all the way up to a setting of 13. That is were I didnt have any apenas. When they first give me the machince they only placed it on 7. I would pull it off all night long and not realize i did. I questioned this and complained. they then took me to a 10. I still pulled it off but not as much. I complained again this time asking the sleep place what exactly was my readings and tritation. They then set it at a 13. I would pull it off once but that was it. For me it was hard to get used to wearing it. I will say I dont have to use it anymore what so ever!

I had H. Pylori too. The first I knew of it was when I went in for trouble swallowing and lots of acid. They put me on Protonix, tested me for H Pylori and when that came back positive, I had the week of antibiotics.

Expect another EGD in the future. THey're probably not going to do the surgery until they take a look and make sure you are all healed up inside. Sorry for the delay.
