Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Got My Date... Ugh.... Ok, someday I will post something positive on this board I PROMISE!! I busted my a%& the last 2 weeks, eating 900 calories a day to loose the last few pounds that were required at my last appointment. I turned my last required items: excersise consultation and food journals. I met with the nurse, all was great, she pulled out her calendar to schedule my surgery (this is on Jan 25) and says........... WE CAN SCHEDULE YOU FOR ..... APRIL 8TH...... WTH  ????????I was about to cry, the nurse felt so bad but said they were backed up from the holidays and the OR being heavily scheduled. I can't believe this, I have worked so hard to get everything and loose the last 10lbs and now this delay. I know I'm being selfish, thank God I am approved and its not that long to wait... but still, I had my heart set on a Feb. date. So, I am taking this time to try to loose more weight, I have to maintain my weight lose during this waiting time. sorry to whine. Tami

That will make your surgery much safer, and prepare you for the life to come post op. Believe it or not, the days will actually fly for you, even though it seems so far away. My last 2 months went by so quickly, just start your preparations for surgery, shopping, cleaning, etc and you will not only be ready for your re-cuperation period but also at peace you have all your chores done - will make room on the losers bench for ya!
