Ok I started my liquid protein diet yesterday. Two weeks before surgery. I have 3 protein shakes a day and 80 0z of water or crystal lite. I have MAJOR ATTITUDE AND HEADACHE! I know it is from the cafeine? and carb withdrawls but it is hard to get thru this! How long does this last? Not the whole 2 weeks I hope? Please tell me it will go away soon! Btw my surgery is only 12 days away now!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Yes, this is completely normal. My first day of medifast I was cranky, naseuous, had a headache and was lightheaded/dizzy. That only lasted for one or two days and then I was fine. Before it you'll be like me...counting the seconds to your surgery, then being days post-op and wondering where the heck the time went!!!

I too have been on the liquid diet & went through "withdrawl" for about 1 week.. I'll tell you that now almost 3 1/2 weeks sometimes I forget to drink my shakes because lack of hunger...

Oh gosh, I had those caffine headaches but only after surgery because my surgeon did not restrict my caffine before surgery. I'd talk to your doc and see about getting a little caffine in so you can get rid of the headaches. I just had to do a full liquid diet, not a liquid protein diet. But I know its hard -- but hang in there it is worth it.

Yes this is normal for your body to go through. It will pass after a few days most likely from the caffeine and that your body is used to food and it is only getting liquids.
