Unhappy Adhesion

well i ended up in the ER on Sunday night..... i was having a charlie-horse like pain in my side....like on my ribs....it was enough to almost drop me to my knees.....took my breath away.....it had happened the day before, but not as severely.....so there i went to the ER all by myself at 11pm. The on call ER doctor seemed knowledgable of the GB surgery. HE did a lot of ultrasound pics of my GB and spleen and both kidneys, he did blood work and urine test. the blood work was good, and urine too. the ultrasounds showed that the GB was all good and kidneys too....it seemed that the pain was coming about an hour or so after i ate. which seemed weird. but the DOC said that he thought it MAY be an adhesion in the corner loop of the colon or an intestinal colic........so yesterday the pain was dull and not like the day before.....although when i got home from the ER that night i had a massive BM and about 5 or 6 more of them from then till now.......but i callled my surgeon assistant and she said that if it persists and will get worse than it IS an adhesion and will need to be released in a laproscopic surgery again.....I DONT WANT SURGERY AGAIN...that scares me.......i am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue......like i said the pain has not worsened and it has been decided by me that it has nothing to do with eating.....cuz it bothered me, like 5 hours after i ate last night.....and i have no want to eat now.........hopefully someone can help

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

It sounds like adhesion to me. The strange thing is that I had this so bad before surgery. I could make an awkward move and it would hit. It hurt so bad. Like you said just like a charlie horse that will not let go on the inside. I had gall bladder surgery years ago and I had adhesion's from that and when I had my RNY the fixed that and I have not had a pain there since. Any surgery can cause these. I just bet that is what it is, but of course this is just a very good guess. lol I hope they find out what it is and you can get it fixed. I suffered for years with this and never knew what caused it.

If it turns out to be an adhesion adn he pain gets worse, it's best to get it fixed, like it or not. You see, your gut can get caught in the adhesion and get twisted, resulting in blockage, which can be life threatening. It's basically healing that overdid itself and as dixie says, can happen after any abdominal surgery.
((((HUGS)))) Hope you feel better soon.

Yikes. I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles. Here are prayers that you'll get things fixed soon. Are they able to do it locally? Or do you have to go to PR?
sheesh.

Listen to your doctors on this and do as they ask. Good luck.
