Default Update on Me!

Well not really much of a update but WoW on seeing the shrink !

I went Monday for the Inital Visit. Insurance requires one. The Surgeon requires 2. The first one went well. I can tell you now if this was 5 years ago whe would have commited me and I told him that. LOL. He stated the only thing he could see that I was still very sad about was my fathers death. He ask me to come back this week because If I didnt I wouldnt be able to see him for a long while. So I went back Today. Very simular questions as before with a little quiz about Surgery. Then he hands me a DOT test.......You remember those from high school. Fill in the dot.
Get this 583 questions. When they told me It was a 3 hour appoitment I was like no way! Yep it was !. He did tell me Wow your not depressed at all are you? I said no... LOL. The Lexapro works good! I use it for anxiety.

Then my day went to hell in a hand basket as soon as I come out of the building. I went to my car.....noticed my back tire was flat. I debated on calling the hubby who is a hour away to have him come and help or drive it not even a block to a tire place. The tire place won out. I asked them to plug or patch it. They said sure. Well of course they come back and tell me its not fixable because I got a long screw up in the sidewall. GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! That was 70 bucks shot. I just had 4 new ones put on last fall. The man said Mam its a shame that is a very good tire to.

So I call my hubby to make sure its Ok which it was gonna be anyways. Hes like WHAT ELSE TODAY? MMM what? Well the power is off. Seems they come shut off my power today. .

I call when I get home to find out they shut the wrong one off however, it would be almost 8 pm before they would restore it. Friggin great! I do belive things come in threes. So then My sis n law and gives me a ear full about my brother. When she gets going its just listen and say im sorry alot. For what im not sure but it seems to help? LOL.

Anyways im still smiling... ... Drs office told me last week the only thing they need is that Phyic eval sent in and the insurance said that is all they need to make final approval. Ms Charlene......i love that name....told me surgery would come in the later part of May or First part of June. Im still dealing with my smoking issue. Blah I need to get the Chantix filled. I have bought patches. Guess what there still sitting in the box were i placed them. My brother whom was a self admitted alchoholic told me it was harder for him to give up smokinig that it was drinking. He still smokes 2 a week. LOL Wow 2 a week. That is like having a couple drinks a year to me.

Anyways I want to thank all of you for making this easier to deal with.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I tried the patches many times and I'd do fine on the highest dose, but as soon as I stepped down to the next patch I'd start sneaking cigs again.

I did the Chantix last Labor Day and I can't praise it enough. I'd smoked for 36 years and two weeks after starting Chantix I put my cigarettes aside and haven't smoked since. I stayed on the Chantix for two months - long enough to get the nicotine needs out of my system. I've not had any cravings, but still run into situations where I used to light up (like leaving the movie theatre) and want one - but it's not a craving, just a habit situation that I have to break. I know I don't dare smoke even one or I'll be right back to smoking all the time.

My co-worker also went on Chantix but she didn't quit. But then, she kept making excuses about not starting the Chantix (she was supposed to start with me on Labor Day) and didn't start until January. Then she made excuses about not being able to sleep, etc. So what I'm saying is that you still must want to quit or the Chantix won't work.

Good Luck, stay with the patches until you can get the Chantix prescription filled, then forget the patches. It's so easy with the Chantix, and you won't even have the itchy rash where you put the last patch!
