Talking 3rd Day Post Op

Hi everyone! I am home today after having my RNY gastric Bypass on Wednesday!! I am feeling pretty good..other than a tugging sensation under my left breast. This seems to be the only discomfort...My doc orders are to do 60g protein drinks, 60 oz of water and 60 minutes of brisk walking per day. I am down 7 pounds so far since my pre op, so that is quite AMAZING as well!!! I will keep you posted on my progress through out my journey!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You will do great!! I had no issues or complications.....they hardest part of it all is trying to fit the little cups of liquid in the days following your procedure!! I have minimum pain and discomfort...Be aware that your 2nd post op day you will actually gain weight (because of all of the IV fluids) but it will come right off as you use the potty and are up and walking around. I will be praying that your procedure is safe and uneventful!! Keep me posted!

Today I am 5 days out from my surgery! I have to say it has been so much easier that I thought. I am working so hard in getting all of my protein in, as well as my water. I am very careful of my sips, so as to not take in too much air (ouch) My walking is going well...but do find that I can fatigue quickly and need to rest. I go for my post op with my surgeon on Wednesday to have my staples removed and will give you my first official weigh in then!
