Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Even now, my DH had to be very insistent that he wanted the sleeve and not something else. The surgeon's staff all told my DH that he didn't do sleeves. Since he's my surgen too, I sent him an e-mail asking "why?" and he said, "who told you I don't do sleeves? Sure I do.".
I had wanted to have the RNY. But the surgeon thought I would do best with the sleeve because I have rheumatoid arthritis and I take drugs that basically knock my immune system out. And he told me, that if I had a leak, it would be catastrophic for me. But I could go home and think about his recommendation.

I said NO, you convinced me. I'll have the sleeve! LOL

I have nothing against the RNY, but for me, I am glad I chose to get the sleeve. It's been a wonderful tool for me so far!

In my support group, I am seeing more and more people getting the sleeve now, so it's becoming more popular.

I'm glad your surgeon is doing the sleeve, so your husband can have the surgery that he wants.

I do too, I think. I think it is because it seems like there is more factual information here, rather than rumor on certain aspects...JMO

And everyone rocks!

I am interested in the sleeve, but of course the final decision will be made between my surgeon and I. When I started looking into WLS I thought I'd go with the RNY, but upon further information, I believe the sleeve will be the best fit for me. I also joined the sleeve site but agree that this site is much, much better.
