 |  I Smell Different!
OK- does anyone else smell different? I know all about ketosis breath, but I smell different everywhere! My skin, underarms, breath, and everything else that comes out of me. (sorry I have little filter).
I sorta stink- it was realllllly bad after surgery for about 2 weeks and has gotten a little better- but I still don't smell like me.
Anyone else with this problem and anyone know why?

i had bad breath for a while. i noticed my urine was VERY strong in the beginning but once i was able to get in all the water it mellowed out. never noticed a body odor but i supposed with a heightened sense of smell its possible. i began being able to smell other peoples BO and breath YUCK. im still sensitive enough to pick ripe fruit lol. all of this goes in phases. it will pass.

You can get ketotic body odor. I've noticed it in the past with a number of diabetic patients who's blood sugar was high enough for them to get ketotic. Of course, your ketosis with with the rapid weight loss, is expected, and you are under medical supervision, so there's nothing to worry about. Get in your fluids to flush it out.

definitely ketosis issue...I had that too...it's all gotta come out somewhere..breath, sweat, urine.
I can always tell even as far out as I am if I've hit ketosis and started to burn off fat again by the smell of the urine.
pushing water helps to keep flushing it out.
My perfume guy says that because I don't use any medications, don't eat sugars, etc...that everything perfume wise smells good on me. Perfume will smell different through the losing process because the body chemistry is different while you are burning off the fat.
just an interesting side info thing there!

I couldn't stand anyone's breath, I was really smell sensitive for about the first 3 weeks to a month. Then I started changing body odor about 2 mos. The water is the reason, like Kath said. Not getting it in puts your body into overdrive, my deodorant stopped working. I didn't think i was slacking but once I was aware I was down about 20 ounces a day I fixed it right away and now its fine.

omg, that was one of the first things I noticed. My body odor is killing me. I don't know if others smell it but I do. I even changed my deodorant. My breath was horrid because of not only the ketones, but I ended up with a lovely case of THRUSH from the IV antibiotics. I drink LOTS of water, and I have noticed the smell of my urine is different too. I am so glad this isn't just me.
