Weight Loss Method Sleeve Gastrectomy |  Burping and belching Do you all get these things? I am constantly burping. My hubby says he is going to enter me in a burping contest! He says I even do it in my sleep! I never used to burp hardly at all! On the plus side, I have to say that I am having fewer BMs since the surgery (smaller portions, more usable food perhaps?) And virtually no gas, which was a problem for me pre operatvely so it is a blessing in disguise I guess. Just checking to see if this is normal....

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | burping Most patients complain about gas. I think that the vast majority of post op RNY patients would rather burp than have "odoriffic" gas constantly. Personally, I burp occasionally, and have gas occasionally. I can live with that. Burping is livable, and you can say "excuse me" when it happens. What do you say when you fire off a smally fart??
