Default Changing Tastes

I am 9 months post-op (RNY) and I am finding that my tastes are changing. I am mostly craving soft foods instead of items that I have to chew as food just does not seem to go down right for lack of any better words. I went for an upper GI today and there were no problems. I think I am eating slow enough. Liquids don't even seem to go down well. I am eating because I know I need to but at times it is not comfortable. Chicken used to go down well but now it does not. Groung turkey seems to just sit there. I hae been doing a lot of Fage yogurt lately. cottage cheese, etc. I have been taking my Isopure shake in the morning which always went down beautifully but now is not. Anyone have any of these same problems and any suggestions?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I have days once in awhile, where I feel this way but it is not every day, maybe once a week at the most.

the same thing happend to me. but it started with me a bit earlier. i think around 7 months or so. i am just now getting back to chicken. i went thru a phase where NO MEATS sat well at all. i couldnt even eat tuna. i changed shakes from the isopure to unjury which is working BEAUTIFULLY now. i cannot explain it, but after a few months i was able to start back with "solid" solids. trial and error and lost or patience; wow what a ride!!

I feel you. There are days when just looking at food makes me cringe. Usually I can accommodate pretty well and grab some cottage cheese from the cafeteria down stairs if I am unprepared for lunch (meaning that I have a real lunch). Just take it easy and listen to what your body is telling you.

I agree, I think it will get better like all have said, things change each month or week even. Going back to your roots is probably a good idea then building like you did from the beginning.

I am almost 7 months out and I find that I have a hard time with meats. I just don't like the way they taste or the texture once you chew them up to nothing...LOL. I find that meat is sitting heavier now than earlier out. I figure I just have a grouchy pouch, and take it easy for awhile. I was thinking that perhaps my allergies and all the junk that goes with them maybe the reason my tummy is more sensitive.
