Default why can i eat more??

hello people...

so for about the past week i find that i am able to eat more at one sitting and amnot having food get "stuck" anymore ...i seem to be able to eat btwn 3-4 oz of meat... a small dinner salad, and a couple of bites of rice or potatoes... i am also able to drink much more than i previously could.. so of course now i am starting to think i stretched the pouch out. i called my nutritionist and she told me the pouch does settle down after awhile{i had my surgery jan9th} so its been about 6 weeks,,, anyone else find this happened?? also,,,i find my appetite returning. i am never "famished" like before surgery, but i can feel the twang of hunger now and then... am i normal?? or should i get an upper GI to make sure my pouch didnot stretch???? sorry if i sound like a nutcase!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You're doing fine.
You seem to be able to hold more food down, because the swelling of the pouch and the area around it beind invaded due to surgery is almost gone now. Up to now, it was just all swollen up and couldn't hold much.
As for the hunger, it's normal. Hunger comes back at different stages for differen persons, but what you feel is normal hunger. The *famishing* hunger probably will never return, BTW. What you are feeling, is the kind of hunger that people with normal stomachs who do not overeat feel, in other words, that's the kind of hunger you should be feeling.
So, you see, you are doing very very well.
Last but not least, congratulations on your wonderful weight loss.
((((HUGS))))

I had my surgery 2 days after you and I feel the same way. Especially with fluids I am noticing I can drink more- but when I look at the amount of food eaten compared to "normal" it is still greatly reduced. I got 1000 calories yesterday and felt bad- then my hubby reminded me 1000 was still REALLY low. I guess it's good our perspective has changed- but I worry about the pouch stretching too.

Youre doing great..Im 3 months out and I find I am having to start making sure that I am now having to start stepping up the workouts and making sure I plan my meals a little stricter due to . I ate 2 oz of lobster, 2 oz of steak, and almost 1/2 cup of veggies for dinner!

You are doing great. When I am at home I eat when I get hungry and that is usually about every 3 hours or so. But when we are in town we get so busy that we eat dinner late and boy does my pouch let me know and I tell my husband that I need food very soon. But I eat only what my pouch can hold and that is usually about 4 chicken nuggets and only one time I had 4 oz. mushroom burger, for some reason I was so hungry that day and it all went in but lunch was much later then becasue the burger kept me full for a long time.
When I have something like hamburger or steak I fill up pretty fast with just about 2 to 3 oz. of meat. Then If I have salad I usually have that an hour ahead of my meat so that goes threw before my meat. That seems to work for me. I crave salad so I just eat them early. I guess I give into my cravings but eat them a different way becasue I am so scared of splurging so I treat myself to what I crave. I am so bad into pickles, olives, cucumbers, letuce, and tomatoes, raw or canned. My mom brought a dish full of veg. to my grandsons birthday party and I told my mom that that was ideal for me and that platter looked so yummy, with all the pickles, olives and other veg. I pigged out on my moms veg. platter.

my hunger wanes....sometimes, I feel really hungry...then sometimes, I forget about food....(I know, who does that, right?) I tend to increase my water when I start feeling hungry before it's really time to eat!
