3' 0" Height: |  What do I do with no insurance? I started my dream job 8 months ago. As soon as my insurance kicked in I called and asked about Gastric Bypass surgery. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! THEY DON'T COVER IT. Specifically:For services or supplies rendered to any covered person for treatmentof obesity(including morbid obesity) or for weight reduction. GREAT  So I tried to get financing. Not going to happen. Does any one have ANY suggestions. Female 5'6" 445lbs  |

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.  |

I know that when it is excluded on a policy there may not be any coverage at all but what about other procedures? Def talk to your doctor, hopefully they will be well versed on this subject. You may want to contact a local bariatric surgeons office as well, ours is affiliated with another doctor that uses multiple methods of weight loss for their patients. Wishing you the best~~~

Talk to your doctor, talk to Human Resources at work to see if you can get a rider to cover WLS for an additional cost, look into other personal insurance policies. These are things I heard other people address, if I think of anymore, I'll add them to the list. Check out the insurance section, it is helpful! good luck, there will be an anwser for you somewhere!
