Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | When did I become such a picky eater? Most of the foods I have had don't bother me much anymore (but of course it's different every day even with the exact same foods), but I have a whole kitchen full of great food and can't 'find' anything to eat!!!!!!! In my freezer I have talapia, salmon, shrimp, chicken and this samlon wheel thing and I'm looking on-line for recipes because I don't know what to have for dinner. I have can's of peas, green beans, creamed corn, tuna and chicken. I have 4 different 100 cal snacks, at least 10 different protein bars, dried peas, rice cakes, pita chips and the only snack I want is yogurt with granola. I have cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, spaghetti sauce, salsa, taco sauce, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, old bay seasoning, sason seasoning and all the regular seasoning stuff and no meal ideas. Are you kidding me? There's like 50 different things I can make with all this stuff! Is this normal?

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I've kinda noticed that I want things that have more flavor now. I never really used to be one for salsa or spicy things. It's almost like everything tatses flat. Maybe that's why you are a little pickier - ho - hum flavor to everything. Kelly, the garlic and herb soy chips and the salsa soy chips (Revival.com) give me that kick for flavor, and the powdered taco seasoning on ground chiken, turkey or lean beef, I find myself doing that alot.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Actually that sounds good. Yes, I need flavor too. I liked the sour cream and onion revival chips Edie sent me and I was going to order the variety pack to see what else I liked. I'm making a stuffed pepper casserole tonight that is my own doing, so hopefully it will be edible. I have ground turkey, I'm gonna cook it in sasson seasoning and add some bread crumbs (at the nut's advice), add tomato soup undiluted, cut up green pepper after boiling it for 20 minutes and mix it all together. Then I will save some soup for the top and top it with bread crumbs lightly. A lot of recipes included corn, so I may put corn in if I get brave. But thankfully I only need green peppers to complete this recipe. If it's good I'll post it.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Yes honey its normal. I do the same thing all the time. I love tomatoes. Any thing that is made with tomatoes is usually my first pick. I have to watch that because it will cause alot of acid after days of my tomato fest. Is therer somthing your craving that is not in the house? If so mabye a couple bites of what ever it is will solve it for you for a bit. I notice it helps me when I get like this. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I think a lot of us go through phases after surgery. I know that I existed on string cheese and yogurt for weeks at one time. Don't think I've had more than one yogurt in the past 6 weeks now. Tastes will change. I'd take the majority of your foods and spice them up. Put red or green peppers on fish and poach them in foil, or add a bit of the same to the standard canned veggies to added flavors. Salsa helps with many things too. Be creative.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Yeah, that definately sounds like the "norm" for us! I go through the same thing every couple of weeks...I just seem to get tired of something except for chicken, that is the best thing I have found for my pouch! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Here's a quickie my family loves (and so do I) I have always heard of chicken tacos but it didn't sound too appetizing. boy was I wrong! I buy a rotisserie ckn at the supermarket, pull the meat off the bone and simmer in the taco seasoning - gosh it's so good. |
