i was told not to do it til 6 months and even then VERY little. (the gas might be an issue) plus its not really worth the space it takes up. each doc is different though. you could always try beano!!

My doc and nutritionist said 3 months unless you have had problems with your pouch it may take up to 6 months to tolerate. And guess what.........today I had it for the first time at Red Lobster! I did just fine, not a problem at all, but my pouch has never been too picky. See what your doc says, it's not a bad thing to crave!

I am 11 months out and tried salad a few times and have decided not to eat it ever again. I eat it and than feel like I have the flu for the next 24 hours.

At my 3 month checkup my nut said to add lettuce or tomato to my sandwich. I've made small salads since then and not had any trouble, but I don't have a picky pouch.

This is somthing I think we all craved for some reason. I think I was about 3 months out and ( tried) to have bite or two. You have to chew it so well so that makes you very tired quick. I finally would just take a piece of crouton and chew it then tomato etc... Salad fills you up so fast so you have to have the protein with it because of that. The six month mark is a good idea because of all the things the tummy wont handle and the space of it all.
