Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

My surgeon recommended getting a liquid form of any presciption meds, if they were available. Otherwise, my pilled prescriptions are at the same levels. For this reason, I also take a liquid vitamin, link on the signature line.

Time releases won't work for you.
The best types are liquids, oral dissolvants, and sub linguals, as their route of absorption is not affected as it will be with long acting types.
The issue with medication is absorption, not how it's metabolised once in the blood stream.
If you are taking time release meds, you'll need to talk with your dr.

Also, as Kim said, the medical issues that are affected by obesity will resolve as you lose weight, so if you are taking medication for high blood pressure and diabetes, you need to be monitored closely and have the dosage reduced, or completely stopped. The same goes for cholesterol and other co-morbidies as well.

I am off my one BP med and my diabetic meds since surgery. My one BP med is reduced. But I still and will always need my asthma meds (my maintenance meds not a rescue inhaler, I haven't needed that for a long time) And I will always be on thyroid meds I had a partial removal of mine, and I right now feel like I need a med change my body feels in turmoil but I guess it is that way at first and I will just have to work with the Drs to get it right again..
