Default Help me - In pain

It is almost 2am in morning here in New Zealand and I am in a great deal of pain. I am 5 months post op from a Lap Roux en y and apart from as tricture at about 8 weeks all has been well.

Last night - just aroudn 10 pm, i started getting pain in my chest when i breathe too deeply in, and when i lie down, almost like the wind pain (trapped) I experienced when I was having the surgery. I also seem to be extrememly farty atm.

I am wanting to know if anyone else has suffered from this post op?

Cheers

Janine

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

It may be just gas or something stuck but since you feel it in your chest, I suggest you contact your dr as promptly as you can, or go to the emergency room, or whatever is the equivalent system in your country. I think it's best to get immediate attention.
((((((HUGS)))) I hope you feel better soon.

Default Thanks Doc

It is just when I breathe in and it just the botton of my breast bone, around the spot that I usually hold/push if I have slightly over eaten.

I also seem to get a little relief if i burp..although this has always been really trick for me to do.

It seems to have eased off in the last few minutes, but it also making me feel a bit nauseous. I have not as yet taken anything for it, and thought I might try some paracetemol.

Panic over - at 2 inthe morning in the small rural town i live in there was nothing I could do till morning, so I took some paracetamol (okayed by the surgeon) and managed to sleep for 6 hours. Have woken up and feeling good. Have had a couple of big burps, so must just have been wind pain.

I am due to talk to my surgeon's support team in a few days so I will mention it then. But I give you all my word if it does get worse then I will make the trek to the hospital in the nearest city.

I have to honestly say though, that before I posted that question on here and I was a bit paniced. That is the beauty of this group - the support.

Thanks team

Hey!! So glad it has tapered off. I get pain around that area but also it is nown the side as well and it is pleurosy, (mine is), and the first time it started, I honestly thought I was having a heart attack.... ambos came and a quick trip to hospital, lots of pain meds etc, and now it comes and goes.

Dont muck around with it though aye. I know the town you live in and it is the same here, but we arent that far from a fairly big hospital (each), so if in doubt, check it out.

*HUGS*
