Default post op diet question???

Question...did anyone ever feel hungry? I mean stomach growling type? For about the 1st week I felt nothing, but now my stomach seems to be growling and I'm hungry. I just started my protein shakes and refried beans and cottage cheese today and I eat about 2 - 21/2 tbls and feel full. About 2- 3 hrs. later I became hungry and so I had my protein shake because I still needed to get more grams in. Granted the solid food definitely fill my stomach more but should I be feeling this way? Liquids on the other hand pretty much go right through me. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Help!!! Don't want to become disscouraged. Angie

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

If you are sticking to your surgeon's instructions, you are doing fine.
Yes, there are some people who actually have their pouches growling even though the majority don't feel hungry at all early out.
Anothe thing to check is that if you are taking sugar free stuff that have sugar alcohols or other artificial sweetners in them, then these may be the culprits in making your pouch growl.

My surgeon has me on 3 meals and 3 snacks a day - though it's kind of hard to tell the difference between a meal and a snack since we eat such small meals. LOL So that works out to be every 3 hours I'm eating again. I don't feel hungry, but I feel empty and that's my signal to eat.

I felt hunger pangs 8 days out. I feel hunger pangs all day long.

I am still on soft foods but I cannot feel "fullness" yet.

I pray, I mean really PRAY that I will be able to say "I am full" someday.

I have started getting hungry lately but I know it's because of all the other stressors right now. And Lisa is right about you and your pouch having a relationship and the pouch is deff in charge..lol..

I never used to feel full. Just look up all of the posts I used to put up about not being full and feeling hungry. Now, I do feel full sometimes. When I eat out I get a very "tight" feeling in my stomach and I know to stop. After I eat a small meal at home I don't get full but if I walk away from the table I realize I am no longer hungry and that satisfied feeling lasts quite a while.

I don't ever feel hunger yet and I am almost 3 months out. I try to eat at very specific times everyday. If I don't I forget to eat. The only way that I can tell that I am hungry is that I get nauseous. Then I know I need to eat.
