Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass    |  Dave & granddaughter   I got my granddaughter back last night. My wife works with correctional educational kids, and one of them asked if she had offered to pay for information about her wereabouts. When she got home, she had my older son call all of the phone numbers in my granddaughter's cell phone. We had tried this before with no luck. But this time we offered a $500 reward for her whereabouts--and guess what? Someone agreed to lead us to her for the reward. My son got into someone's Honda that had bullet holes in it, and was shown where she was living. He paid them off and my wife went to the home. Some older woman was there and initially refused to bring my granddaughter to the door. But when my wife threatened to call the police (remember her ex-boyfriend has a warrant out on him now) about the matter, this grandma said "we don't need the police here" (wife thought other kids there probably had warrants on them too). Then she produced Lauren. We got Lauren home, and discussed this matter. Lauren had taken two bottles of 200 tablets of Percocet, that were for my wife's severe back pain. She had given them to another kid to sell, and she got almost nothing for them. That's how she had some money for the past 9 days. The sherriff's deparment called last night at 11:00 and I told them Lauren was back home. I also informed them of the kids name who had my wife's drugs. He said he knew where the kid lived and would investigate that matter further. We have an appointment with my granddaughters mental health counselor this afternoon. At this point, I think the counselor will have her committed for at least a 72 hour observation at a local facility, as we had sought something along those lines the day she went missing. Lauren has been very depressed in the past weeks, and she had been telling the world she was pregnant while she was missing. We gave her 2 home pregnancy tests, one last night and one this morning, both negative. So Lauren has some issues--and I strongly believe they stem from the lack of attention of both her biological parents. So it's a mixed blessing. She's home, prescription drugs stolen from my home, my wife will be in more pain due to less drug availability for the next 30 days, Lauren has "issues" that we need to further investigate, and she'll probably be in a facility for a few days for diagnosis. It's a lot to process for me, and I'm unsure of what the near future will bring. DAVE

I am sorry to hear of the various issues that you need to cover, but I am also sure that you and your family will be able to find the strength to come through this. I don't want to be nosy, but this is for your wife, you can report to pharmacy what happened to her meds and they can do an over ride to get her meds quick so she does not have to wait 30 days. Whenever it's a runaway situation it's never going to be easy because even if you find her, there's obviously issues that need to be dealt with and she still may do it again. I will keep your family in my prayers that you will have the strength to get through all this. My mom left when I was a baby and my dad passed the buck a lot and eventually when you grow up you realize the person who should love you may not, but look at all these other people who didn't have to and they did - A LOT. She will realize this in time, but it may be a rough road until then. Thank you for keeping us updated.
