Question exercise vs.hydration vs. protein...when???

i have just started exercising again for the first time in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time I did some cardio. TAE BO. kicked my butt. i am so out of shape And now I am so thristy and my lips are dry etc. Im wondering how this will all fit into the schedule of fluids and proteins etc. If I drink prior to and during exercise and after too because i am 'dry' I would have to wait 30 minutes to eat. BUT i read somewhere you should do your protein RIGHT AFTER working out. so do i drink a shake? or do i eat something? if i drink a shake its ok right after working out but if i eat i have to wait because i was drinking?

one day we will all have this figured out. LOL!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Drink up before you exercise, for one thing. I was told by my tennis coach to get in about 500cc(that's a whoppin' 18oz ) before our lessons esp. during the warmer months, besides having a 500cc bottle handy during our lessons. A shake after exercise is fine for protein after exercise, BTW.

I'm one of those weird ones that my surgeon told me I could drink RIGHT up to the point of eating, but not for an hour after...I drink water before & during exercise...then do a protein shake when I get home...it's all liquid....you rarely see me without a JUG of water in my hand (not a bottle...literally A JUG)

I read that further out you can drink right up till when you eat, but wait an hour after eating. There was something I think in the pouch rules about water loading before eating. My surgeon told me at this point water before eating is okay, but I may have to wait up till 90 minutes after. It depends on the person.

I have my Achiev1 before my workout, it gives me a nice punch. If I dont do that I have a protein bar about 15 mins before and then start drinking about 15 mins in to workout. I can't eat right after workout anyhow, the ONE time I have gotten sick was eating after a workout so I don't do that anymore. Yay for you for getting back into it, not that you should have stopped though, right?
