Default Abdominal Pain - Below Rib Cage - Above Belly Button

I just got off the phone with advice nurse. I have been having this stomach pain for the last 48 to 72 hours. No other symptoms, just hurts more when I eat. I haven't had any surgery ... in fact I don't have any problems besides my thyroid (of which is normal). Has anyone else had this problem?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I have had pain right under my rib cage on the left side. I had it on & off again before surgery but now it is back.. Not sure what it is. I can't tell when it mostly flares up. My Doc. says lets just keep an eye on it. I keep wondering if it is my spleen, pancreas or what? This week has been good. So who knows, just keep your Dr. informed.

In the middle, or slightly to the right, you could have stomach ulcer or duodenal ulcer.
Other than that, if the pain radiates to the back, the, on the right, gall bladder, and both left and right, kidneys (stones).
Also, the corners of your colon--from ascending to transverse, from transverse to descending--are favorite spots for intestinal gas to collect and bloat.
In any case, unless you are examined in person, nothing can really be said.
So, to both of you, best to arrange a visit to your respective drs, just to be safe, not sorry.

Mine is on the left & I really do think it is gas. When I poke around I feel gurgling going on.....anyway, my doctor is aware but not too concerned. I will just keep him posted next time I see him. Thank you all.

Thank you ladies! I ended up going to the ER this morning and was dx with gastritis (ulcer). I was put on some meds for the acid in my stomach and they are running a few more tests to see if they will need to put me on antibiotics. They said it will be a couple of weeks until my stomach starts to feel better. At least I know that everything else is ok, it can be fix.
