I'm 7 1/2 weeks out and noticed my weight staying the same and up 1 lb in the last 2 1/2 weeks. Is this normal? I find myself eating hardly anything. I started working out in the last 3 days. What's going on? Help.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Stalls are a normal part of the process (grrrr, I still don't like them!) Drink more, and eat more protein, that seems to help me. (Especially in the beginning) If you aren't eating enough your body will fight like heck before it will let you drop more weight so make sure you are getting in what you need in vitamins as well.

Hey ANgie,

forst of all welcome to the board. and secondly don't worry when I was at your stage my weight stalled for nearly 2 months! I went crazy I remember weighing myself before the bathroom and after the bathroom heheheh I was the craziest wako in my world! but you know during that time my body was melting the inches one after the other.

My advice to you is to keep the scale aside these few days and you'll be surprised with the big whooosh afterwards trust me

Nice meeting you
Hanadi

If you just started working out there is your reason you are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat so you will have a stall, bump up your protein and I bet your clothes will start to feel really loose. Keep up the good work your doing wonderfully...

Oh yeah, between the stalls and the bouncing, it is nerve wracking! It tends to get worse each time too! LOLOLOL

Part of it is the hardly eating anything. You gotta remember you have to eat to lose. Im serious. Yes its normal and will pass soon but eat.

Angie,

To put it in perspective a bit, you had surgery about 52 days ago and have lost 51 pounds(actually, you lost that in the first 35 days, didn't you?), and you're getting impatient? Your body just needs to regroup, catch its breath and get ready for the next lap. Losing a pound a day on average is probably a bit better than anything else you've tried, and it's hard work for your body. Give it a break while doing what you've heard the ladies tell you, and you'll back in the game in no time.

And as Hanadi said, put the scales away for a week or two and judge success by how your clothes fit. You don't have to lose it all in one continuous burn. Your window of opportunity will be open for another year or so.

This is part of the mind game that is so critical to success. Patience is a terribly hard virtue to cultivate when you can see things happening and then stop, but it is the key to long-term success. Everyone so far has said it'll come, and no one has said you're doomed, so trust us. It'll come. This is a permanent modification, not a short-term diet, so time is on your side.

CT
