Warning..major rant here!! I had a neuro appt...lemme see this is 6-7 weeks at least now since the seizure I had ..Well I'd already asked my friend who is married to a major doc a the hospital..he'd never heard of this guy I was sent to..perhaps that should have warned me..that and the ladies in his office when I came in go "oh!! we have a patient!!"..um..I really thought they were just teasing but now I wonder. (rant..why oh why do I get the jerks!!) I sit for nearly 30min in the exam room, the whole time I can hear him on the phone in the NEXT room arguing with apparently either his soon to be ex or his attorney.although in the background checks I did after the appt I didn't find anything filed..(sorry people but that is part of my job that I do)... I had provided a type out well organized 3 pages of med history, meds of which I only take 2, an antifungal, and testosterone, what surgeries etc. Dates, my diagnoses etc. He comes in the room in a huff and had obviously not read anything in my chart OR my info provided...argued about my diagnosis until I finally said to him I was not there to argue what I have ALREADY years ago been diagnosed with. I have had and been treated for those and technically had been in remission from them for nearly 9 yrs now. When he asked what I was treated for and with what, I told him that antiviral name and that I'd had a central line for a year. Then he asked me if I had a central line now??.. um..I just stared at him..ladies I was wearing a tank dress over jeans that revealed my entire upper chest...if I HAD central line..um duh..you'd definitely not miss the thing!!! strike..well gosh by then 3... he does the neuro stick a pin in your feet etc..and I had just not 10 seconds before told him and had my hand on my right leg/knee, that I had 6 days before had a cortisone shot in my right knee.. The MF-er (sorry) hits me in the effing knee that I had just told him I had had a shot in!!!€! I screamed and punched out at him which, you know with my training, causing me pain..very bad idea. He looked shocked and had rolled back and I said I just told you I had a shot in that KNEE!!! I almost walked out then ..should have. he never once said "I'm sorry" never once admitted he'd done something wrong or anything!! Then when I mentioned the gastric bypass he said that information isn't on here..I looked hard at him this time..already majorly pissed off and hurting now from his damned hammer (still am, set me back on that) Said "OH yeah it is, why you don't actually read that through to the surgeries? he made a big ole show of flipping through and finding it, circling it big time...looks at me and says..... "why did YOU have gastric bypass".. okay people I'm done ..I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO done with this. I don't care now about why I had a seizure, I don't care why or if it means I"m coming out of remission for my diseases this is the 3rd time I"ve had an encounter with arse-holes from hell who are supposedly specialists. I -I- am paying for this appt??? They act like they have the right to act like jerks and get paid for it? I have 2 major PPO insurance coverages which together my children's dad and I pay total near &750 a month for..I have great coverage. There are times I swear... I wish I'd known how men of a 'certain age' would behave around me and have gotten more ..something..therapy... training..something to deal with this.. It's always!! these late 50's white males..who apparently have problems with me immediately because of how I look.. attractive. corn rowed hair to my waist.. muscled speak my mind (I look white, although 4th generation black/creek indian, with all white relatives) They either get this hostile attitude or make really inappropriate passes at me!!.what the h???? late 50's males with an attitude of I'm smarter than anyone in the world..in or just gone through a divorce...have ED ..that squishy penis issue that they think is an erection ...what is with that anyway?? change your BP meds man. I'm telling you I'm SOOO burned out right now..tired of this nonsense with men's inappropriate behavior of all kinds. I'm done..I'm tired, I'm sick and I just want some damn answers to MY medical issues and I want to deal with it. I don't want meds, I don't want pain killers although right now if I was offered some major muscle relaxers I'd bloody well take 'em!!!

Oh, how maddening to go thru all this crap huh? I coming from a nursing background, have had to work with a few Drs. that are like that. How they remain to be in practice is beyond my education....lol So what are you gonna do now?? Do you have anyone that can make a recommendation for you?? I have to find a new Fam. Dr. myself, and even that, makes me think, why is it when I have a great dr. they leave and go somewhere else like out of state. So I also am looking to figure out who I want to have for my health care. Oh, I dont blame you for being pissed off with this person. I know they all have their own personnal problems like everyone else, but he probably should not of been working if his problems are making his patient care less then positive. What a dork? Good luck finding someone that actually will read the chart, or at least glance at it, before walking into the room. Now that so much is computerized, I know I have had Drs. come in, and talk to me, and then will go to the computer, and pull up my chart info. DUH!
