| Feeling sorry for me! I am now almost 4 weeks post surgery, finally starting to eat "real" food (actually soft, pureed) and am going through such a big stall! I have only lost 11 pounds since surgery, and while I know that my body is probably in hibernation and trying to hold onto all of my pounds, it is still very discouraging for this to be happening so early in my weight loss journey! Has anyone else had this happen this early on? Any suggestions other than just tough it out? Also, any suggestions on foods for this phase? So far, I am not tolerating egg beaters, can tolerate fat free refried beans, and some canned chicken with a little low sugar BBQ sauce. I HATE cottage cheese and yogurt which makes this hard. Oh, I also was able to eat a whole piece of string chesse. Tomorrow, maybe I'll try an egg.

I completely understand. I went through the same thing. You are still recovering from surgery. You can do this. It will happen. Keep your chin up and eat your protein and drink your fluids. Most importantly take care of yourself. Good luck with your journey.

Yes, we have all been there! It does seem strange to stall that early, but it is necessary and it does happen. You have just been through some major stuff and your body is doing whatever it has to. Dont fret, its totally normal at this point! Just follow the rules and you will be just fine! Trust me! LOLOLOL

You're quite normal. Just take one day at a time, and stick to the program. When you look back a year from now, heck, 3 months from you, you'll surprise yourself by how well you're doing.

I had my surgery on the 1st of July and when I went for my first post-op appointment my Doc. told me to get rid of my scales. He said that so many people panic if they weigh themselves and they do not see the scales go down.
I am also on the pureed stage and I really like the canned chili and the creamed soups.I also take chicken and tuna blend with lite mayo and spices.
