Default I need some help

Today I took my son to a Pitt Pirates game. Our seats where 5 rows off the field and it was about 82 degrees out. We decided to take a walk and we had to climb quit a few stairs to get off the field level. When I got to the top my heart was beating so hard I could feel it in my tongue. I had some pain in my right shoulder area and was very dizzy. Before my surgery,July 11, I never had any problem climbing stairs. I did this twice and both times the same result. Anybody else suffered this kind of crap? My body changing or maybe something worse?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i think you over did it. of course call your doc, but i think it was too much for you too soon. you HAVE GOT TO TAKE IT EASY!!!! its going to take a LONG TIME for your body to adjust to what just happend to it. its MAJOR surgery. please take it easy and make sure you get in enough fluids. also dont forget to call your doc regarding the pain, especially if it continues. take care

You are barely 2 weeks out. You should be exhausted. Your body had major surgery, and although you can drive and walk around, you are not expected to do any exertion for another couple weeks.

If the pain returns at rest, or if you have difficulty breathing now, get the paramedics to take you to the ER.

Please feel better and welcome to the "other" side!

You can't do that kind of activity this soon after surgery. You need to work up to it. Energy levels tend to be quite low after surgery for most, at least for the first 4-6 weeeks. I began exercising by walking up the street a few houses and back. I did that for a few days, then up to the end of the block and back. Baby steps--I now walk around the block 1 or 2 times daily, and it's 1 1/4 miles around my block. DAVE

Oh my goodness! I could not even get through the grocery store that soon after surgery, let alone climb stairs!! You need to take it easy, you are still healing, inside as well as out.

Oh, my.
Small and well healed incisions on the skin doesn't mean only a little work done inside as well. You had your insides all cut up and rearranged. You're still healing inside, give your body a chance to catch up with everything.
Any number of things could happen, it's hot, so you can get easily dehydrated at this stage, which will put a strain on your heart, and your body hasn't yet adjusted to the low energy intake you are on, right now.
((((HUGS))) Hope you feel better after a good rest.

My main exercise for the first couple of weeks was climbing the one flight from the kitchen to the bedroom level a couple of times a day. Other than that, I gave my right thumb a good workout on the remotes while kicked back in my recliner.

Hiking a stadium? In the heat? At two weeks out? Man, you have got to be kidding!! Go back home and let your body heal before it does something you won't like!!

And keep those fluids flowing! If you don't have a lot coming out, you definitely do not have enough going in! In the time it takes to play a MLB game, you should have made 3-4 trips up those stairs to the bathroom! If you didn't, you were dehydrated. Not a good move!!

So, did the good guys win?

Yikes!!! I really hope that you are feeling better. Please listen to what everyone has said. Sit back, relax a little and enjoy some time off while you heal.

Yep too soon! And probably too warm and humid. I remember when I went back to work after two weeks and we had a fire drill. I had to use the stairs from the third floor. Going down not bad, but going up I had to stop between the second and third floors (double flights of stairs) because I couldn't breathe. Not only that, my legs were soooo weak that I was using the banister and pulling myself up.

Take it easy, let your body do it's healing.

Lesson learned guys. I think I'll take it a little easier for awhile.
