Red face Stricture complication

Hi All,
Some of you have read about the difficulty I have been having transitioning to food after surgery. My surgery was 6/30. After 3 weeks of being on protein shakes and liquids I was to transition to pureed and soft foods. I am getting so full from the shakes, that I have had trouble getting in the liquids and food just made me throw up. After talking to my surgeon, I am now scheduled for an Upper GI tomorrow and another Endoscopy with balloon dilatation on Tuesday to hopefully remedy the problem. I am having trouble getting in all of my protein and liquids and am so weak and tired from all of this. Just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this? Another bummer--I am not losing weight because my body is in starvation mode and holding onto every pound for dear life! Will update you all after my procedures, and will hopefully be back on track. I know this is just a minor speed bump in my road to a new life!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I had to deal with stricture dialation X 4 early on...your body does stop losing..isn't that crazy! But once that is open again..whoosh!

Strictures are fairly common. There have been a number of members having had to go through this. Do a search for "stricture" or "strictures" and you will pull up multiple threads.
(((((((HUGS)))))))) I'm sure all will go well for you.
