 |  Stricture it was!!
Well, after an Upper GI followed the next day by the endoscopy, it turned out I did have a stricture as well as some ulcerations. I am back on Prilosec for those. Now, I feel like I can start my journey at last! I feel like I did the day I got out of the hospital! I go to my surgeon Thursday to see what my regime will be, but for now, I am trying to start on the protein and calories again. I have been living on about 300 calories a day, because I just couldn't get in all of my shakes and fluids, and I just threw food up. Maybe with the added protein and calories, I will finally come out of the starvation mode and start losing weight! I just hope the stricture doesn't reoccur, but I can't even think that way! I am treating this like a speed bump on the road to a healthier me!

i too had a stricture, which i needed to go back 3x's..... everyone is different..
my own standpoint is that the little bump in the road, just keeps life interesting.
