Default when will it change?

I had my surgery on June 25th 2008,so I am about 7 weeks out. I still can't even seem to keep tuna fish down. Tomato based soup goes down well for me, and mashed potatoes. Besides protein shakes, this seems to be all I can still tolerate. Tonight I tried Progresso Tomato Rotini soup. I took one very small bite of the pasta and chewed it really well, but man, did I get sick! I was wondering if any of you out there can tell me when you were able to start something with a little more substance in you daily intake. I know.....everyone is different, but boy, this is really frustrating because my surgeon told me it is a "trial and error" process.
So far it's been nothing but errors for me. Very depressing. Any thoughts, I will be glad for them.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

hey there. hang in there it gets better with time. as you introduce new things, stick to one thing and keep trying it over time. the pouch with get the idea of who's boss!! LOL! i have a TERRIBLE time with tuna. OMG then one day i decided to try chunk light instead of albacore. its moister. I also put it in the blender to get it like a paste.

it was tough in the beginning. i use to get frustrated a lot because there wasnt much variety but i PROMISE you it will change. hang in there. it gets better

You have to give it more time and you are still early out. When I was at your stage I hated food and just the thought of eating was so hard. I did not like food almost up to Christmas, then it started to get better. My food varieties at your stage was so small and felt like I cannot eat hardly nothing and I did not like the taste of food at that time. But it gets much better in time.

I agree you need to give it more time. I had a rough time with meat, all types, didnt matter how i chewed, chopped whipped. Be patient.

I was probably 9 mos out before I could handle tuna - it was too strong. Still don't do pasta. I think I lived on stewed meat, maybe a bit of salmon, scrambled eggs with cheese, small amounts of mashed potatos, applesauce, sf pudding, and sf fudge bars. Did some protein shakes early out but they started making me ill pretty quick. It is trial and error and the kicker is just because you can tolerate it today won't mean it will work tomorrow! Never a dull moment!

I started off having trouble with tuna and beef....it does pass and you have the trial/error thing for a while. If you try and it doesn't work, put it off a couple of weeks and try that food again.....

I have been eating the Tuna since the soft food stage, but now I have to eat it with Tobasco sauce! It is so good! I couldnt do the canned chicken or ham though...it hurt my pouch. You will find things along the way that you can tolerate. It does get better.

I had problems with Chicken and Eggs. (which came first?) Try something, if it doesn't work, leave it alone for a while and try something else. You can always try the food that bothered you down the line. I was at the point where I thought I could never stomach another egg but now I eat them all the time.

In the early stages chicken noodle soup, mashed the noodles some and a few smashed crackers. The crackers get very soft, this worked for me. Plus my Dr. had me drinking 3 8 oz milk a day. lots of crystal lite. This will pass. Like everyone said, its trial and error....what worked for me may not work for you...but then again it may, doesnt hurt to try.......good luck and KEEP SMILING!!!!!!
