My stomach hurts all the time. It feels like a nagging stomach ache. It hurts more when I drink or eat something. I called my doc on Wed and he said "see ya on Monday." I don't know if he thinks it's not a big deal or if he's just really busy. I do know that I am not drinking enough and am wondering if that couls be a cause. Anybody???

It doesn't seem normal for the pouch to be hurting all the time. If you feel something is wrong keep telling him about it. It is possible that some people do experience this pain, but until you get a resonable explination, keep speaking up! If the pain has been constant since you had surgery and you can tolerate it, unfortunately you may have to wait until Monday to get an answer. If the pain gets severe and/or you develop a fever, nausea, and/or vomiting you may want to head to the ER. Sorry you have to deal with the pain.

Mine was doing this- on the left side under my ribs. They put me back on Prilosec and it went away, so it may have been an ulcer or the start of one. You may ask on Monday if it could be something like that- they say it should hurt when you don't eat or drink, but mine hurt when I ate AND when I didn't....just a thought.

Well when you say stomach are you referring to your pouch? Or are you referring to the general feeling you are feeling if your digestive track in general is bothering you? If it is not your pouch, but more your digestive tract itself it may just be that you are still adjusting to the new way your body is now digesting food.

Try to stay hydrated for one. It can be a sign of ulcer, so keep on nagging your dr. Don't back down if the pain is bad enough to bother you daily. ((((HUGS)))) Hope you feel better soon.
