Unhappy Has anyone else experienced this?

Here is what is going on. For 5 days, I have watery diarrhea with extremely increased lower bowel sounds. I have never had that ever. I never have really had any gas problems either. I finally went to the PCM and he gave me antibiotics and Immodium. Told me I possible could have an bacterial infection somewhere. Not really sure. Anyway, I took them both last night before I went to bed. Now no diarrhea, but the sounds are just as bad and lots of gas. Let me say that I had to go to bed early last night because of extreme nausea. I haven't eaten anything out of the norm, especially that jalapenos that are on recall.
I don't feel up to my normal self. I put a call into my surgeon's office yesterday and they didn't return my call.
Should I wait this out a few more days before I really start to worry?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I wouldn't wait.....it could be just really bad gas...I HAVE had that....with terrible cramps and HORRIBLE noises!

Hope you get some relief...I would call the doc as soon as possible if it doesn't ease up!

I have also been lucky with not getting gas. I wouldnt let it go very long, but maybe you just have a case of the flu. I know whenever we feel bad we automatically worry about the surgery and if something is wrong. If the diarreha has stopped thats a good sign......hope you feel better.......just take it easy and enjoy the rest.

DH had a stomach thingy a week ago. We attributed it to a cantaloupe that only he ate. We bought it at a local farmer's stand nearby...I guess someone didn't wash their hands before picking fruit. Anyway, the fever broke in 24 hours and he was better in a couple days.

I think your tummy is just recovering. Uber fluids. Check in with your surgeon. One thought...the surgery was not on the large bowel/colon, which is troubling you. That is a good thing. The surgeon's office, however, may have some insight on to the care of WLS'ers and such cooties in the bowels.

I wouldn't let it go. Call your surgeon's office until you can get someone to call you back. I hope you feel better and keep us posted.

Hope you feel better soon- sounds like you got a bit of a bug. Hopefully the meds will kick in and your tummy will be feeling better.
