Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

So long as the meds aren't in the long acting forms--the types that are meant to dissolve slowly in your stomach and then absorbed to keep the blood level stable--you shouldn't have to worry about it. If some of your meds are the long acting type, then you may need to have them changed to regular forms, and take them 2-3 times a day instead of once. In any case, talk this over with your psych dr and your surgeon, they will know what to do.

As I recall this thread, you were asking about changes in meds post-op? I had to change one of mine because it was controlled release. Went from taking one Wellbutrin a day to taking 4 of the generic, two in the morning, two in the afternoon. It's worked out fine, is actually less expensive, and was easy to get used to. You shouldn't have a problem if you just keep in touch with the medical folks before it gets time-critical.
