Hey there For the past, about 2 months i have been feeling . It's worse in the morning, and eating doesn't alleviate it any, more so makes it worse. (No i'm not pregnant), so my question is for now and after the surgery. If i take my pills, (now,or after), and then , how long after taking my pills am i good for not losing the effect of the pills. I'm sure that immediatly isn't so good. and if i do throw up do i need to take the medicine again. Im especially wondering now about the pills i take to keep my blood sugars down?

| Super Moderator | Sorry to hear about your trouble. No wonder you're feeling low. Do you take your diabetes meds before meals? If that's the case, then the meds will be already at work when you eat. The meds you take after meals, if you within 30 minutes of taking the meds, then it's likely that not much will be absorbed, but if it's over an hour, you should be OK.Incidentally, could it be that one of your meds is the culprit in making you sick? Hmm, come to think of it, could it be that the reason you're feeling low the past few weeks is because you're meds' blood level is low because of your and you don't have enough of whatever in your blood stream to do the job?Or maybe you have an undetected ulcer? Have you had EGD done as one of your pre-op exams, or it that going to be only after you get your date? What's your dr saying about this?
