Unhappy Extreme Pain

First off I am 6 months out from my RNY surgery and it has been uneventful. I've already lost the 75% of my excess body weight. I feel and look great. But on Thursday I started having stomach pains. I thought maybe I caught a bug or something. Continued with my day as normal. Went to bed early hoping that it would pass by Friday. Woke up and pain was still there, as the day progressed the pain got worse. By 2pm, I hadn't eaten anything and pain was intollerable. I also was worried that if it was something major that if I didn't get in to see my surgeon today that I would end up in the emergency room. So I called, explained my symptoms. She said that it sounds like my gall bladder and that I should come in for an ultra sound. I did...results came back normal. The whole time I was getting the ultra sound I was balling like a baby. It hurt so bad. Hmmm...at this point we are at a loss. She then thought it could be an ulcer. Mind you, I have not physically seen her, just spoke with her on the phone. So she gave me the option, go to emergency and be admitted or try meds for an ulcer. I opted for the latter. Taking the less invasive route first. If it got worse I could always go to the ER. By the time I got 2 scripts filled, throw up in grocery store parking lot and back home it was already 9pm. Took my meds and went to sleep. That brings us to today...I feel a little better but there is still alot of pain and now its in my shoulder. Doc told me to go back to basics...eat like I did when I was a month out. So I am keeping it bland. I've lost 2 pounds in 24 hours. I swear this pain is far worse than when I had surgery. So now its a waiting game. Crossing my fingers that its only an ulcer.

Sorry for writing a book, but I am home alone, bored and in pain. Thanks for reading/listening.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I think you should be SEEN/EXAMINED by a dr, not consult over the phone.
My suggestion? The ER.
Hang in there, hope you feel better soon, and that you will be able to get to the bottom of this.

How are you now? I'm hoping that you went to the ER - what if it were appendicitis for pete's sake!!

If your not in the er now, or hospital, please get your small butt there now!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes when you "wait it out" you could be doing more danger to your body, now move it !!!

Lol,

Thanks everyone for your concern. I didn't go to the ER. I took it easy, taking my meds and keeping my diets bland and soft. So far so good. Woke up this morning feeling so much better. Just a little nawing pain in my tummy but the big pain is in my right shoulder. I will follow up with my doc in the AM. Thanks again for the well wishes.

Hi Malia, I hate to see you wait it out..I mean, How can they prescribe you med's for an ulcer, when they hadn't even seen you? Seem strange to me..what if it's an infection? I hope you go to ER tomorrow...let us know how your doing, take care
